I’m Kiley.
I’m 48, living in a small college town in Virginia. I have two kids, F. (19) and J. (15). I am a marketing and social media geek, and I work helping colleges and universities develop their communications programs.
If you cut me, I bleed coffee and/or sweet tea, depending on the time of day. I have a penchant for peonies and hydrangeas and cats and tattoos, and will, when tired or faintly intoxicated, drop a “y’all” on you. I am a military brat who wanted my children to grow up in a “hometown.”
I will never, ever travel without eyeliner.
And this is Mark, my husband.
He’s also 48 (but younger than me, heh), living in the suburbs of Glasgow. He has two kids, F. (15) and C. (10). He’s an archaeologist, but he makes his living doing large scale solutions architect IT work, because those two things are related.
He has tattoos and a motorcycle. He’s also addicted to coats, but then, hey, Scotland. He is a black belt in karate, and spends his free time fighting his back garden. Sometimes with fire. His favorite catchphrase is “if I am honest.” Yes, he does say “aye” and he does own a kilt.
If I am honest, that’s really awesome.
We’ve been together for three years. We got married in April 2017. We plan on moving in together sometime in the late summer of 2023.
No need to rush into these things.
